Open Question: Benzoyl peroxide scarring?
I recently got acne scars even though I've had acne every my life and I would never receive scars. My regimen that I just stopped was 2.5% benzoyl peroxide (A LOT OF IT) in the morning and ziana at night. Do you think that the benzoyl peroxide contributed to my acne scars because I've never had them before.

Open Question: Does Norimin birth control pill help acne?
ive been on Norimin BCP for almost two months now, but during that time i was also on Doxycycline for my acne but have just stopped. will my Norimin manage my acne? i don't know whether it made a difference while i was on Doxy. eek! has anyone else noticed better skin since Norimin or any other combined birth control pills? :) I am going to look my GP on friday so will ask him. would you recommend Differim?

Open Question: IFORCE MAX OUT supplement vs acne?
Hey Everyone, I just picked up some Max Out from Iforce, excited to test this out!. One question though, i heard it causes inflamation and more DOMS. My only concern is i am on antibiotics "minocycline" to be exact. Do you think the anti inflammatory properties of the acne antibiotic will interfere with what max out is trying to accomplish? I'm just wondering because i dont want to waste this product by having it counteract with the antibiotics. Any input anyone? Would be much appreciated

ok i have very sensitive pale acne prone skin.i have acne, but not TOO bad, just spots that are noticable, and i receive breakouts. I have big noticable pores on and around my nose and on my forehead. my nose is oily, but flaky at the same time, and the relax of my face is normal. so i wanted to try revlon new complexion liquid foundation, because it says it wont clog pores and stuff. so does it work? whats the coverage? and just tell me how revlon colorstay foundation is. or if you recommend any other foundations for my skin type. thankss

Open Question: Need some help with some confidence issues.?
It is odd because I am usually a very confidant person. I do very well at school, never stress out for a test, I am a very good athlete so I don't worry about that...HELL! even in video games, I always know that I am the one who will win in the end. In these circumstances, I am almost OVERconfident! But when it comes around to girls and the way I look, my confidence drops. I am to shy to ask a girl out because, well, I find myself ugly. I have acne, wear glasses and I am a little overweight...but I hate having to deal with this because personality wise, I am a very nice, and caring person! So I KNOW I have a shot with a girl that does not care about looks. I have started to do things about my acne, I am also going to buy contacts and doing stuff about my weight. But even having this in mind, I can't seem to make myself feel "better". Even thought my appearance is different from what it was 2 months ago, I still look myself as I was back then! I can't stand this! I just wish I could over arrive my shyness and the untrue reflection of myself! But I don't know how? Please, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Open Question: How do you pick out a foundation?
I've never really worn any sort of make up besides like eyeliner and lip gloss. I'm 19 and I just want to cover up some scars I have from acne and the occasional zit and even out my skin tone. Every time I try and buy foundation I just receive confused as hell and give up. I don't know what the difference between a liquid foundation vs. a mineral vs. cream or any other types there are. I don't know anything about blending. every of it is just beyond me. My skin tone is pretty pale. My friends say that it's the color of macadamia nut haha. I use Tazorac and Mederma on my face to keep my pimples below control and to help reduce the visibility of scars on my face, so that can guide it to be dry. But I guess for the most part my face is oily. If anyone knows any sites to direct me to so I can figure it out or just any advice on what works for them and what nice of skin they have, or how they figured out how they found their perfect foundation, I'd really appreciate it. If there's anything else you need to know, just ask :)

Open Question: Clinique Redness Solutions Cleansing?
I started to use this product about 3 weeks ago, I have hardly had any breakouts, maybe once a month ONE tiny pimple but nothing major. After using the clinique redness solutions cleanser, mild claryfing lotion, and daily redness relief moisturizer... MY SKIN IS HORRIBLE, I am breaking out every OVER my forehead and it keeps getting worse... The people at the clinique counter says it is normal for the impurties to arrive out but I have never had this horrible acne ever. Should I continue using it in hopes it will dissapear or should I cease using it? and if I do cease - will it just make my breakout worse?

Open Question: Can I cure my acne this way?
so im joining swim team, and everyone says your skin clears up because chlorine kills germs. well i receive cystic acne. you no the nice thats below the skin, and has no head. and they HURT. and once you receive them you basically just have to wait for them to receive better. well sick be in the pool everyday. will the chlorine cease them from forming? i dont receive them too bad in summer, mostly fall-winter months. so what do you think? please dont say "go to a dermo" im just wondering will chlorine cease cystic acne. the last couple times i went swimming, my skin broke out a little, but idk if it was just a coincidence, or something else. and also how would ik if im allergic to latex or silicone swim caps? will i grow out of cystic acne???

Open Question: Do you think I have a problem?
Okay, so I'm probably just being totally paranoid about this, but i'm still worried. I've had a major increase in discharge over the past two, maybe three days, and it smells stronger. I'm not sure if that's just because there's so much more of it that i'm noticing the odor more, but the discharge itself does seem the same (clearish, gooey, thickish) other than the stronger odor. It really doesn't odor different, but I'm noticing it (the odor) when I'm just doing everyday things (esp. when i'm sitting down). I haven't had any itching or soreness in the slightest, but I'm really nervous about getting a yeast infection due to the antibiotic my doctor has me taking for my acne (doxycycline), and it's supposed to increase the risk of a yeast infection. So, do you think anything's wrong, or is it just my hormones acting up? Also, if it's normal, is there anything i can do about the odor? I'm really worried someone might notice it when around me at school and stuff. Additional info: I'm 13 (fourteen in tardy april) and I've had my period for almost a year (i got it on my birthday last year when i turned 13). It's been relatively consistent, and my last one was a little over two weeks ago. Also, I'm not 'sexually active' in the slightest, so there's no way it could be any of complication of that sort.

I have very oily skin and it use to break out when i was a teenager..but things got better and i had clearer skin until last one mnth. Open Question: Why Do I ONLY Get Cystic Acne in the Summer?
From May-Sept my face just breaks out from cystic looking white heads despite prescribed acne medication, over the counter products, or home remedies. I spend the relax of the year trying to fade away every the ugly scars just to start the cycle over again. I've arrive to the point where I don't even wear make up. I exercise drink plenty of water healthy diet but I don't understand why my face turns to oatmeal every summer???? Considering chemical peel...maybe you every can offer some advice...

Open Question: allergic to benzoyl peroxide?
I recently found out I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide after using a neutrogena facewash that had it in it. I've used products with benzoyl peroxide before with no issues but now my eyes receive extremely red and itchy as well as puffy. I no longer use the neutrogena stuff and have now switched to clinique but it also has benzoyl peroxide and I got an allergic reaction to it. I'm wondering what would happen if I continued to use it as it is the only thing that helps clear my acne.

Open Question: Are there any weight loss medications specifically for birth control pill weight gain (25 POUNDS!)?
All of high school I have been 5'9" and between 119-127 pounds. (I'm a senior now.) No matter how many times I finish off a dozen donuts in one sitting or how many sodas I drink, I never really gain much weight. After my home was hit by a flood, I got a bad case of stress-related acne and was prescribed birth control to receive rid of it. I took yaz for only two months. While my acne has mostly gone away, during the second month my weight skyrocketed to 149 pounds. My eating habits did NOT change. The weight gain was so rapid that I now have ugly stretchmarks every over my hips. I've been off yaz for about 5 months and the weight has not budged. Ever since, I've started eating healthily and doing cardio 3+ times a week with no results. I feel like my body thinks that I've already had a baby so it's storing fat?! I don't know anyone else who has gained this much weight so quickly from birth control, or anything else for that matter! Are there any methods to undo it or medications for this problem??? I am desperate! (Though 149 is not overweight for my height, the extra gain is every pure body fat and I feel extremely uncomfortable being 3 sizes larger with a muffin top and cellulite)

Open Question: Should I see a doctor about ingrown hairs?
I have been shaving my bikini area for a while now, but have recently stopped. I have 3 red bumps in the area that I believe are ingrown hairs. I can't look them well enough to tug out the hair with tweezers. I've tried exfoliating the area, acne lotion, as well as tea tree oil. Should I look my doctor about this? I should add that 2 of them that I've had have been there for quite a while, more than three months. And the third has just appeared in the past week. I really just want them gone.

Open Question: First Dermatologist Visit?
Okay so I am going to look my dermatologist tomorrow for the first time. I have to receive acne on my back, shoulders and forehead checked out. I am extremely nervous that they will ask me to remove my bra or try to move it because well, there is some thing I would like to keep hidden below it.
